A man’s sexual identity is commonly enmeshed with penis function, so it’s no surprise that coming too soon causes individuals (and/or their partner) a great deal of distress. Nearly 30% of men worldwide experience premature ejaculation and have little resources to turn to for help. In this online, one-hour workshop, you’ll tool up on the knowledge and skills to confidently address premature ejaculation with your patients. This workshop is intentionally focused on cisgender men. I would like to acknowledge that there is necessary work needed around transgender men, non-binary and gender expansive people.
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
· When given a vignette, state at least one biological and one psychosocial influence on premature ejaculation
· In a large group activity, participants will describe the physiological process of the male sexual response cycle
· In a forced choice activity, participants will identify and describe their comfort level with using the proposed strategies for premature ejaculation and name at least one way they can increase their comfort.
